In November 2004 we identified a gap in the market for professional IT solution and support to businesses in Mid-Wales. Our mission is to provide that support to local companies with a level of service and eye for detail that still drives us today.
Our Milestones
2004
During November 2004 we relocated to Builth Wells from Buckinghamshire and set up the 5C Services as a limited company.
2006
Saw us recruit two new members of staff and firmly establish 5C Services as a proven provider to SME’s within the mid-Wales area.
2008
Successfully winning contracts within the manufacturing, financial, construction and legal sector took the business to a new level. We moved to larger premises to accommodate our growing team.
2010
Our reputation spread beyond the Welsh borders as we won contracts from across the UK in the education, hospitality, charity and service sectors. With our solid knowledge-base and expertise we set-up an outsourced Helpdesk for other IT support companies and began project managing office relocations for our business clients. At the same time we formed strong alliances with leading vendors of IT technologies worldwide, becoming accredited partners and resellers of their products and services.
2012
We launched a range of Cloud services including: Managed Offsite Back-Up and Disaster Recovery and also offering clients a 24/7 Support Service.
We also expanded our Builth office base and have invested heavily in infrastructure and our team development to ensure we can further expand and provide even better value added services to our clients.
2014
We opened a second office in Welshpool to better support our clients in North Wales and England by reducing onsite response times. A significant investment in technical training for team members enables us to offer an even wider range of IT technical expertise to clients and to manage much larger projects.
2016
We have seen a huge increase in our client base and area we cover. With clients across the whole of Wales and beyond we have seen increased demand for business to make a better use of their IT.
Due to increased demand we expanded our Builth office to allow for further growth and recruitment. Our Mid Wales team now deliver a complete IT service with a refreshing, down to earth approach.
2022
We moved into our new office in Newbridge-on-Wye, providing a much-needed space for expansion and importantly, allowing us to safely bring the 5C team back together.
This has provided us the ability to expand the business, team and their skillset. Supporting our team back into the workplace has proved instrumental in the development of 5C and its future is an exciting one.
2018
5c Services brings together the best people, processes and technology to provide a flexible, secure and cost-effective managed service. Very promising growth continues, and we now provide support and supply goods to over 100 businesses.
This was a very successful year indeed with further recruitment and expansion. 5c Services were also thrilled and honoured to receive Small Business Growth Award at Powys Business Awards in September 2018.
Future
In 18 years, we’ve come a long way. With continual investment in our team, technology and training we always strive to increase the services we can offer year on year to better support our clients.
We are proud of what we’re doing right now, however, we believe that anything is possible and have a lot of exciting plans and further expansions planned for the coming years.
2020
2020 quickly brought home working and uncertainty for all. These economic challenges proved our resilience and ability to always meet the expectation of our core values, to always be - complete, committed, clear, consistent and capable.
We have also invested in the development of our internal systems, improving our service and efficiency to better support our team and clients.
