The Brief
H Vaughan Vaughan & Co has been a long-standing customer and is continually expanding their business. They were in need of a solution to allow new employees to work in newly aquired offices along with an additional meeting room.
Our Solution
To accommodate the customer’s requirements, 5C Services visited the site to survey the new offices and meeting room. Following survey, we sat down with the customer to gain a full understanding of the current needs and future requirements. All of the details were taken into account and it was noted that to fully utilise new infrastructure and needs some additional PC’s would also be required.
The solution needed to provide a robust system that will allow H Vaughan Vaughan & Co to grow further. We love to get stuck in and with the supply and installation of a comms cabinet, cable runs for network/phone, switch to service the rooms and co-operating with site’s phone system provider and various 3rd parties there was plenty to do.
As the customer needed to continue to operate as normal the required equipment was procured and set up in our office as much as possible prior to install time. As most of the work required was in their new, unused office, we were able to do the majority of work on site without any interference to the company and successfully completed the job as planned and on schedule.
Firstly, the new cabinet, cabling and trunking was installed throughout the new location with cable access created into each room as per customer spec’s and plans. After this cabling was run, new cabling and link cables to the existing site were terminated and tested.
With the new site now ready, two engineers installed 6 new PC’s and customised them to the customer’s requirements. Following completion of our setup we worked closely with other 3rd parties, external and on-site engineers enabling the new phone line, extension and any other work to be completed.
