Our relationship with Aber Instruments started in October 2012 as they had a requirement for a trusted IT supplier that could help them assess their IT needs and help them implement a robust IT infrastructure that will work for them for years to come.
our solution
Following an initial meeting with Aber Instruments 5c Services took time to understand their business, system and their future requirements. Any key areas that needed improvements to deliver that were identified where then discussed with client further to asses and make sure nothing gets missed.
Following the brief a new unified wireless system was audited, installed and configured. This allowed for roaming throughout Aber’s site in the required areas providing a range of wireless networks including Company, Guest etc that was then linked back to the installed Watchguard UTM device to provide internet usage as per the company policy. As part of this we also installed a more robust connection & fail over for internet access to help ensure accessibility of there cloud services.
Based on the success of the systems installed we then continued at looking to improve the resilience of Aber Instruments server setup allowing for future growth.
We then provided assistance with IT infrastructure, planning and have implemented a new server, set up hosted exchange mailboxes, improved security and remote backup solution. Following a successful completion and as part of the ongoing IT support, advice and installation of IT Equipment our proactive monitoring system was also installed.
Aber instruments is now able to call the office if there is ever any issues or system requirements and have it addressed and resolved within hours if not minutes. All of our technicians are familiar with the set up and systems so there is never a delay in being able to deal with the call.
