MWMAC had a dated server which didn’t meet their requirements as a growing organisation.. They experienced problems of slow speed when accessing files, unreliable email system and general headaches that weren’t needed.

Our Solution
We implemented a hosted exchange email service provided by Office 365 as well as Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection. This offered piece of mind in ensuring they have the best protection possible as well as the convenience of a reliable hosted email system.
To future proof their server setup, we installed the servers in a virtual environment.
The main host is running in a Hyper-V environment which in turn, hosts two guest Servers. This enabled roles to be installed individually across the guest machines, which ensured perfect performance and easier administration.
Thanks to virtualisation, the guest Servers can also easily be migrated onto different hosts should the need arise.
The whole installation was conducted out of hours ensuring that there was no downtime for the users to come in Monday morning and seamlessly start work as normal.
All companies are concerned with the “what if?” question and MWMAC were no different, they (sensibly) were very keen on having a Disaster Recovery procedure in place so we made sure that we installed and setup an encrypted cloud based backup service ensuring that in case of disaster, all of their data would be securely protected.
